Pretty Petty’s Poem of the Week
Hello
Pretty Pets, welcome to the “Pretty Petty’s Poem of the Week” issue. This will
be a weekly issue. We are Amanda D. Petty and Eric Brown, and we’re poets. This
will show off our diversion of our poetry. This is a part of “Pretty Petty Poetry”.

Everyone had a broken heart once in their
life. If you hadn’t, this poem will help you to see. Enjoy or don’t.

D. Petty
No heartbeat, just flat-line.
No sight in vibrant hues, just
seeing in black and gray.
No air in the lungs, just an unloved
soul.
No meaningful life, just living in a
nightmare.
No love, no more love, just a blue
person.
No reason to be here; “Just take me
Home, Father.”
Crying clouds, just hurting.
Pain, real pain, just wondering,
what did I do wrong?
Depression consumes me; “Just give
me strength.”
No more me, I’m dead inside.
No more passions; “Just give me a
true purpose to live.”
Goodbye world, God, take me.
More Than Poetry: We
take “Pretty Petty Poetry” very, very seriously. Some people think poetry is
very “old fashioned”, boring, and not that interesting. We can understand. To
us, poetry is the true heart of a person. Amanda describes it as: lyrics without
any music.
