My Thoughts: 16 years ago, a nightmare came to America, 9/11. If you had a loved-one that’s in Heaven because of this hell-like nightmare, we are very sorry for your lost. This is an extremely emotional video. Warning: you will cry.

My Spiritual Thoughts: I was having a bad day. I told my friend, Donna Jones, this. She gave a very powerful video. While I was watching it, I felt you, the Pets, need to see this.

The News:

New teammates: We have three new teammates; Lana L. Holley, Kofi Fianko, and Kanu Rowland. Lana will be doing the Missionary Issue. Kofi and Kanu will be doing Red Rose Poetry. Lana and Kofi want clients. Their information is under: “Contact Us…” Welcome Lana, Kofi, and Kanu to Pretty Petty Poetry Team.
No Jimior: Jimior quit, and we don’t know why. James will take over his job.

Red Rose Poetry: There’s a new issue: Red Rose Poetry. This issue will be just our romantic, love poems. There's a poem of mine is on there already. Go to "Pretty Links" and click on "red Rose Poetry".

Poets’ Tell: I want my team to tell about themselves…

Amber Rose: There are many tragic things that have happened to me in my life, only to be at the ripe age of 22. My family was homeless, we lived in hotels, when my parents could afford them, and I remember not knowing if there would be dinner simply because we had nothing. I don’t write for pity, and very seldom do I write about any of those things. You see I am a poet. Though some poets do write about the dark and dingy, but I am different. I began writing poetry in about sixth grade. Then I was just writing my fillings along with descriptive words. It wasn’t until I got to about 8th grade did I realize I could have an impact, on people who read my poetry. I could make them feel the way that I felt or I could make them picture colors, or smells. I write to get away from all the negativity of the world, and hopefully for a moment you can to. I write to give you some of my passion, my heart and my soul. I write to feel something. I write to tell you what my lips can’t speak. I write for the pure joy of getting away. I write to one day be published, not for fame or money, but to be able to reach a bigger audience, and move them with my words. Take a journey with me, on a brisk autumn day, with the orange and red leaves dancing across the sidewalk, as the wind tickles your nose. Take a journey with me, away from all the noise of car horns and people yelling, under the stars in the silence, where it is only you and I.

Osinachi Collins Emeghara: a poet/writer from Southeast Nigeria. Among his published works are Born in Eclipse, Anticlockwise, Journey of tears, Pains of Vengeance, Fatima and the lion and Feast of folktale.

Kofi Fianko: an honest man who has a big heart and a caring soul. I'm an African descent from the western part of Africa, specifically, Ghana. I'm addicted to reading and writing with great interest in Human rights issues. I hate people who laud themselves over others in an attempt to denigrate and underrate them. I loathe cheaters as well who are always in a haste to take what doesn't belong to them. I'm a man of Faith who undoubtedly believes in the supernatural and have my Faith entrusted in the Lord Jesus Christ whom I believe is above all. I love to walk a lot since I always feel refreshed after engaging in Naturalistic observations. I enjoy sleeping though not when I have important tasks to execute. Why I love to sleep alot? It's because I often write down my dreams as the content of my write-ups. Sleep aids my storylines in most of my narratives. And so, it implies that, more sleep more dreams to transform them into stories. So it's like sleeping forms part of my writing career which makes it justifiable for me to sleep more...lol. I'm a creative person too and love to crack jokes at the right places and at the right time. Never mind if I haven't written enough about myself. It's because I just felt I needed some sleep to continue dreaming as part of enhancing my writing career. Will tell you more when I wake...lol

Abdul Sami: I'm a person who has had more than his share of injustice done to him but hasn't backed down. And knowing what it's like, I've been working to change things for a while now. I've been speaking up and writing down, and helping other people do the same. That's why I write poetry and that's why I do what I do.

Kanu Rowland: My name is Kanu Rowland but most times am simply called Rowland. Am a Nigerian and a good friend. I enjoy meeting new people. If you haven't met me honestly you are missing.

-----------------------

Cardinals: Last month, I told you about a miracle league that’s allow the handicapped people play sports. On 23rd of this month, I will be playing baseball. My team is the Cardinals and my number is #9. I’m excited because I wanted to be on a baseball team.

Saturdays: Every Saturday, after we do the Red Rose, I’m going to send out the notices. Because of the 11 issues, yes, 11, I don’t want to tell you every day about the issues.

New Wallpapers: There are 5 new wallpapers on the site.

Helping my sister: Carrie, my sister, offered me a job for her online store. I’ll be helping her with the searching of the pearl cages. This WILL NOT interfere with PPP.

Your Thoughts: We truly want your thoughts on this poem:

No poem.

Quotes of the Month:

Hard work is the best way to do your best.

Poem of the Month: This month, my dad passes away 2 years ago. I want to honor him with a touchy poem. Enjoy.

A Father Is
By-Amanda D. Petty

What's a father?
A dad is someone who you can
Tell a dumb joke.

He has a strong spirit
For the terrible times.

He tells some crazy advice to his children
Because he doesn't know what to say,
So he makes the answer up.

What's make a real father?
He plays along with his daughter;
Even though it's dumb.

He plays games with his son
And lets him win some times.

He's always there to make
His children laugh at stupid stuff,
When there's troubled times.

A father is being there when
He’s needed the most.

A dad is a friend.
He lets his wife win;
Even though he can't beat her.

What's a true dad?
He is a guy
That I call Papa Bear.

Lyrics of the Month: Poetry has a plethora of styles, and our ultimate favorite is lyrics.

As I do this business and teach my team, I’m becoming a new person that I loved. Yes, it is harder that I thought. True, I want to give up at times. But, if I give up, I think I wouldn’t happy. I truly find joy in doing this.

This song is the PPP theme song because the lyrics are so powerful and it fit on what we’re doing.

Want help: If you want to help with “Pretty Petty Poetry”, you can! We are looking for some volunteers to help with the desktop wallpapers and getting us clients. We can’t do everything by ourselves anymore, too stressful.

For New Comers: This is AMANDA’S idea to do this business. Everything you see is her alone with the help from God. This is a part of “Pretty Petty Poetry”. She has been studying English with the help from a professor, Nancy Lowe, from Weber State University, Utah, USA since October of 2011.
