You Came Along
By-Amanda
D. Petty
You came along, and show me things
that were in my dreams. Now, I can see my visions are all yours. Somehow, you
saw them before and you know the tools to make them come true. I am terrified that
this is just a hallucination because this can’t be real. You can’t be really
mine. True, we’ve known each other for years; but here we are, once again;
lovers.
You came along, and taught me how to
love again. I was beyond scared of this emotion because I had a huge scar from
my ex. But now, you healed it with your beautiful love. I’m actually stunned
how you changed my entire life. It’s like an artist, painting a portrait. God
is drawing us together, using the most bright and beautiful colors. Do you see
it? Do you feel it? Sometimes, I can’t believe it.
You came along, and made me trust in
you. Yes, I did trust my ex and that what hurt me. I am beyond grateful that
you’re back in my life. For the first time in my years, I can say these words
and I know the true and real meaning, I love you. Love isn’t the perfect word
for this powerful feeling. My sweetie, I had no belief in you. I was running
away, like a little child. I was a child when I first laid eyes on you. You
were my very first love, and I couldn’t forget you. I’m very thankful to The
Lord, you’re here with me.
More Than Poetry: I
take “Pretty Petty Poetry” very, very seriously. Some people think poetry is
very “old fashioned”, boring, and not that interesting. I can understand. To
me, poetry is the true heart of a person. I describe it as: lyrics without any
music. Because of my speech, I can’t talk fast or normal; discovering poetry
has really opened me up.
Pretty Pets:
I want your feedback on “Pretty Petty Poetry”. I want to know on how I can
improve on this business. I’m very open on your comments.
