The Perfect Poem

Here she sits all alone

With pencil in hand to write her poem.

It has to be perfect so her mind does roam,

She feels nothing, can’t find her comfort zone,

So out she goes, to inspire such woes,

She looks for friends, she looks for foes,

She looks to the sky and dreams of space,

She smiles at the sidewalks where she skates,

She looks at the city and worries it’s being,

She infiltrates it’s passion for things worth seeing,

She ponders the future and likewise past,

She know feels though she can write her poem at last.

More Than Poetry: We take “Pretty Petty Poetry” very, very seriously. Some people think poetry is very “old fashioned”, boring, and not that interesting. We can understand. To us, poetry is the true heart of a person. Amanda describes it as: lyrics without any music.
