Pretty Petty’s Poem of the Week
Hello
Pretty Pets, welcome to the “Pretty Petty’s Poem of the Week” issue. This will
be a weekly issue. We are Amanda D. Petty and Eric Brown, and we’re poets. This
will show off our diversion of our poetry. This is a part of “Pretty Petty Poetry”.
If you want more information, go to: www.prettypettypoetry.blogspot.com.
This has no back story. This is from my
partner, Eric. Enjoy.
Isiah’s Poem
By-Eric Brown
Banging
my head on the wall,
Angry
over nothing,
Tearing
up about the missed chances.
That
I could have taken with my life.
Living
in a shell of what i want to live like.
Everyone
is fooled by my outward appearance.
Often
ashamed of my past,
Fearful
of the demons come to haunt me.
That
is my biggest fear,
Here
I am,
Everyone
can laugh.
Solidarity
is key,
Overcome
with no action,
Understanding
is hard to do,
Love
is lost never found.
Well
done, Eric.
More Than Poetry: We
take “Pretty Petty Poetry” very, very seriously. Some people think poetry is
very “old fashioned”, boring, and not that interesting. We can understand. To
us, poetry is the true heart of a person.
Amanda
describes it as: lyrics without any music. Because of my speech, I can’t talk
fast or normal; discovering poetry has really opened me up.
