Pretty Petty’s Poem of the Week
Hello
Pretty Pets, welcome to the “Pretty Petty’s Poem of the Week” issue. This will
be a weekly issue. I’m Amanda D. Petty, and I am a poet. This will show off my
diversion of my poetry. This is a part of “Pretty Petty Poetry”. If you want
more information, go to: www.prettypettypoetry.blogspot.com.
I wrote this one on March 7th.
This is a sad one. Enjoy.
Dreaming
By-Amanda
D. Petty
Falling, slipping,
Caring no more.
Awaking to a nightmare.
Playing a play:
Smiling, joking.
Hitting the bricks of tears,
Dying each moment you come into
view.
Faking, fading away.
Loving you, secretly.
Moving on, no.
Praying, hoping for one day,
Saying to me, “I love you.”
Feeling, touching you,
Dreaming.
More Than Poetry: I
take “Pretty Petty Poetry” very, very seriously. Some people think poetry is
very “old fashioned”, boring, and not that interesting. I can understand. To
me, poetry is the true heart of a person. I describe it as: lyrics without any
music. Because of my speech, I can’t talk fast or normal; discovering poetry
has really opened me up.
Pretty Pets:
I want your feedback on “Pretty Petty Poetry”. I want to know on how I can
improve on this business. I’m very open on your comments.
