Love Me

L-eash me not into your world

O-nward must be this legitimate caress

V-iew my weaknesses as no seeming stress

E-ndure my imperfections, take them to no one but God.

L-ive for me in life's threatening

O-verlay me with your trust so real

V-erify my heart with no atom of resent

E-nvy not thy lust, take pleasure in ultimate loving.

L-ace my finger with honour beyond the ring

O-verhelm my heart with affectionate ding a ling

V-ex not, but be loving while chastening

E-mbrace, cuddle and bring me to cling.

More Than Poetry: We take “Pretty Petty Poetry” very, very seriously. Some people think poetry is very “old fashioned”, boring, and not that interesting. We can understand. To us, poetry is the true heart of a person. Amanda describes it as: lyrics without any music.
