My Thoughts: When I thought of PPP, I never thought I would be a teacher to people of the world. One teammate, Kofi, that I’m his Professor. That comment really stunned me because I have no college diploma says that. But, I guess it comes natural to me. I love teaching English and poetry. It’s my hidden passion that I didn’t realize.

My Spiritual Thoughts: Must watch:

The News:

7 New Teammates, WHA: We have 7 new members on the team: Okeke Emmanuel Onyeka, Alvin Amar, Ibn Do Gud, Jayant Kashyap, Bamidele Aiyejina, Michael Olorunwumi, and Roselle Labagday. Ibn will be doing the Red Rose Poetry. Kofi will help Anna with the Kid’s Issue. Ibn and Okeke will do Red Rose, Roselle and Jayant will do the Shadow Poetry. Okeke, Ibn, Roselle, Alvin, and Bamidele want clients. Their information is on the site. They will help in the monthly newsletters and the issues. We are still figuring out what job everyone can have. Welcome Okeke, Alvin, Ibn, Jayant, Bamidele, Michael, and Roselle.

Poets’ Tell (Part 2): Some poets are late, getting me their paragraph to me. So, I’m going to do this, again. Plus, there are new members too.

Michael Olorunwumi: My name is Michael Olorunwumi and I am a sixteen years old from Nigeria. I was born in Lagos state, but my state of origin is Ogun state, Lantoro, precisely, while I reside in Oyo state. Furthermore, I do write poems, rap, programming, design Kampala fabrics, act, engage in entrepreneurial leadership, write and serve as an agent of revolution in Africa and beyond.  I feel ecstatic whenever I am reading, writing, watching wrestling matches or listening to comedies. Temperamentally, I am a Maestro Melancholy, that is, I possess both the strengths and weaknesses, though like a piecemeal, one can turn weaknesses to strengths. Presently, I weigh 56kg. Also, I am the second born among my siblings, others are a younger sister and elder brother. As a scholar in three NGOs' (MAC (Youth-Minds Alignment and Development Centre), TELP (Teenage Entrepreneurial Leadership Programming), JSA (Jumpstart Academy Africa), SOZO NETWORKS/SAFE ACADEMY and TeenTechNg), I am buoyant to say that through conglomeration I CAN do whatever I want to do.

Jasmine: I am Jasmine from India, SEO/SMO content writer with 8 years of experience. I am also a non-fiction writer, launching my debut book soon.

Tim: My real name is Andrei, but I go by Tim. I turn 20 this year. Some say that it’s the big 20 but for me it’s just another year of trying to figure out the biggest mystery of all. Who am I in this world? Some call me a poet but I’m just a guy who feels to strongly and bleed words on paper instead of tears. My soul travels far beyond this generation but the adventures I have written do well to please me. Books are my world and poetry is my companion.

Okeke: Meet Okeke Emmanuel Onyeka. He is a young man who has been seduced by the art of poetry. He is a good football and table tennis player. He does not joke with honesty and integrity. He is a Philosophy student at BIGARD Memorial Seminary, Enugu, Nigeria. He can be jovial and silly sometimes but these are what make being with him an unforgettable experience. He believe that poetry helps us to communicate ourselves very well to others. He lives in Awka, Nigeria. Enjoy your ride with him.

Ibn: My name is Suleman Mubarak, a Ghanaian poet but born in Lagos, Nigeria. I was born on 6th of May, 1997 and currently stays in the northern region of Ghana, Tamale. My stage and poetic name is Ibn Do Gud (pronounced Ibin Do Good) and my poetic signature is _the wood that sharpens iron_.

Alvin: Hey! I'm Alvin, 18 years old. I'm too boring man, but I do a lot of activities like playing basketball, drawing, and writing songs, poems, and anything that would come into my mind. I feel that I am an introverted person, I hate big crowds, I rarely come to gatherings. I don't find myself funny, but some people do say so. My favorite thing to do is singing, but I can't tell if I do have a great voice. On the other side, I do some raps. I composed some raps, but I can't even finish writing those. I know there's a lot of "buts" in my life, cause I'm always confuse in myself. That's all.

Jayant: Jayant Kashyap, merely yet in my teens, a budding poet and voracious reader. Where my reading (literary works) began late (as compared to my metropolitan-counterparts), I began writing poems “early in 2013 (or in the later parts of 2012, probably),” though I can only state it ambiguously. Merely any of my poems are known to revolve around my homeland (though I may get to have one in mind soon), then they do with the conditions of body and soul. My poems have been featured earlier on a few known websites, and here’s my blog (with links to those sites, as of now). An admirer of stark literary expressions. A lover of gothic architecture. A young critic, reviewer, and activist.

Bamidele: Bamidele Aiyejina is a poet from Nigeria. He writes fiction and is an aspiring Novelist. He reads a lot and does frontend web development in his spare time. He is a final year student of Electrical Engineering and highly innovative.

Roselle: I am Roselle A. Labagday with a degree of Bachelors in Elementary Education at Southwestern University, Cebu City, Philippines. I love children and I am passionate about teaching. Currently working as a public school teacher for the past 12 years. I am also a School Pupil's Government adviser and at the same time, a Disaster Risk Reduction Management focal person. I write poetry as a way of expressing my advocacies in Education, Mental Health, Sexual and Domestic Violence.

Your Thoughts: We truly want your thoughts on this poem:

My Life (A Strong Word)
By-Amanda D. Petty

Even since you came, I feel my life has lost its control; I don’t know from up or down, right or left. It truly feels like I don’t have it anymore. What I’m trying to say is very difficult. Please, bear with me. Father, I need Thy guidance.

Before you, the gates of cold fire had my soul, and they played hide-and-seek with my emotions. The devil was the one that I turn to for my contentment. He made love with my heart for years. I called hell my home. I thought that was my new world. How foolish was I? Now, I know. All the things that I’ve been through was truly preparing for you. For the first time in my short life, I can say this and I know the real meaning…
I depend on you to give me inspiration. You have given a reason to fight, to breathe, to dream. You are the most incredible man that I’ve known. You are willing to take on my countless needs and make them yours. Saying to me, “I can’t leave you.” and “I’m not running.” Those words mean more than you will ever know. Those words bring me home. I’m finally home. That’s why making a strong vow terrify me to death; but I’m going to do it…

Sweet Dear, this is a very strong word that I’ll make between you and God. I will not go anywhere without you. I will be honest and so faithful. I will be in you as well you are in me. I will give you passion like you don’t ever known. Baby, you’ve completely morphed my entire life with “I love you.” You do not care about my handicapped; you see the true me, a real woman. I will try my best to take care of you.

Quotes of the Month:

Hard work is achieved when you try hard.

Poem of the Month:

Treat or Trick
By-Amanda D. Petty

Here comes cooler October;
With changing, Trix cereal-like trees.
Crunching foliage, pretending I’m superman;
While I jump in falling leaves.

Here comes scary October;
With ghosts, bats, and witches,
Saying, “Treat or trick!”
I give them dots and candy corn.
I played along with a four-year-old ghost,
Trying to scare me.
He laughed when I “screamed”; and I kissed him.
I send him off to my sister.

Here comes tumbling October;
With lovers walking hand and hand.
They don’t mind the change of the season.
Soon it will be Thanksgiving.

Lyrics of the Month: Poetry has a plethora of styles, and our ultimate favorite is lyrics.

I love all types of music. If it has a good message, I’ll listen to it. A few months ago, I discovered Alex Boye’. He’s an LDS Africa Singer. He does cover songs but he puts his African twist. He also does his own songs.

With the awful happenings in the world, I wanted to “celebrate” life. This song does that. Enjoy.

Want help: If you want to help with “Pretty Petty Poetry”, you can! We are looking for some volunteers to help with the desktop wallpapers and getting us clients. We can’t do everything by ourselves anymore, too stressful.

For New Comers: This is AMANDA’S idea to do this business. Everything you see is her alone with the help from God. This is a part of “Pretty Petty Poetry”. She has been studying English with the help from a professor, Nancy Lowe, from Weber State University, Utah, USA since October of 2011.]
