Pretty Petty’s Poem of the Week
Hello
Pretty Pets, welcome to the “Pretty Petty’s Poem of the Week” issue. This will
be a weekly issue. I’m Amanda D. Petty, and I am a poet. This will show off my
diversion of my poetry. This is a part of “Pretty Petty Poetry”. If you want
more information, go to: www.prettypettypoetry.blogspot.com.
This one is a symbolize poem. You need to “look
behind the words”. Enjoy.
Pain
By-Amanda
D. Petty
A black cloud comes.
The cold has me.
“Please,” I begged to the heavens.
“Please, take this pain away.”
A drop of water falls.
Lightening, thundering, in my heart.
“Are you there, God?”
I cried to Him.
The storm won’t go away.
It lingers for months.
Trying my best to calm this storm
down,
But, no luck.
“Why?” I asked God.
“Why did this happen?”
Windy for days.
Strong clouds for weeks.
“God!” I yelled while tears fall.
“Take this pain.”
More Than Poetry: I
take “Pretty Petty Poetry” very, very seriously. Some people think poetry is
very “old fashioned”, boring, and not that interesting. I can understand. To
me, poetry is the true heart of a person. I describe it as: lyrics without any
music. Because of my speech, I can’t talk fast or normal; discovering poetry
has really opened me up.
Pretty Pets:
I want your feedback on “Pretty Petty Poetry”. I want to know on how I can
improve on this business. I’m very open on your comments.
