Pretty Petty’s Poem of the Week
Hello
Pretty Pets, welcome to the “Pretty Petty’s Poem of the Week” issue. This will
be a weekly issue. I’m Amanda D. Petty, and I am a poet. This will show off my
diversion of my poetry. This is a part of “Pretty Petty Poetry”. If you want
more information, go to: www.prettypettypoetry.blogspot.com.
I do not remember how I come up with this
one. Enjoy.
A Strength (A Light)
By-Amanda
D. Petty
Darkness calling you.
Terrible memories in the mind.
Depression in your face.
Yelling for an aide.
No one comes.
Praying, “Oh God, please…”
Falling tears.
“…I can’t do this.”
“I’m here.”
A peaceful, tiny voice replied.
“I will help thee.”
You read.
Hope comes.
A stranger arrived.
She knows.
She succors in a different way.
She listens, talk with you.
A friendship.
She has a light about her.
You find new hope in her.
Just
a reminder: On March 20th, 7-9 pm, UT time, there will be a fan-chat
on Facebook, ONLY. If you don’t have
Facebook, get it now because this night will be a blast. If you have it, great;
I just need your name because it will be a close chat. I have a group made
already. So, just tell me your name, and I’ll add you!
More Than Poetry: I
take “Pretty Petty Poetry” very, very seriously. Some people think poetry is
very “old fashioned”, boring, and not that interesting. I can understand. To
me, poetry is the true heart of a person. I describe it as: lyrics without any
music. Because of my speech, I can’t talk fast or normal; discovering poetry
has really opened me up.
Pretty Pets:
I want your feedback on “Pretty Petty Poetry”. I want to know on how I can
improve on this business. I’m very open on your comments.
