Hello Pretty Pets, welcome to the “Pretty Petty’s Poem of the Week” issue. I’m Amanda D. Petty and my business partner, James W. Hill, and our teammates, Joseph Oghenakhua, Anna Shepherd, Abdul Sami, Jesselyn Council, Nicholas Roberts, Rick Cruse, and Tim George; we are poets. This will show off our diversion of our poetry. Each week, a different poet will do this.

Going One Way To Oregon Via A U-Haul Truck
By James W. Hill
I packed all my belongings, loaded them up in a
little ole U-Haul truck. Destination Oregon is where
I'm headed.
I got on the road at 6 am to make it through the
mountains before noon. Got my dad as my navigator
telling me which way to go.
Got the windows down, the wind blowing through our hair
got the country music way up high, enjoying the road trip together
all the way HOME.
Can't wait to see the bright lights of home shining in my eyes
finally pulling in by 3 pm getting unloaded by 4pm, get the house,
set up by 5pm in time for dinner and an early bedtime after
a long day on the road
More Than Poetry: We take “Pretty Petty Poetry” very, very seriously. Some people think poetry is very “old fashioned”, boring, and not that interesting. We can understand. To us, poetry is the true heart of a person. Amanda describes it as: lyrics without any music.
Pretty Pets: We want your feedback on “Pretty Petty Poetry”. We want to know on how we can improve on this business. We’re very open on your comments.
