November 11th--Weekly

Pretty Pettys Poem of the Week

Hello Pretty Pets, welcome to the “Pretty Petty’s Poem of the Week” issue. I’m Amanda D. Petty and my business partner, Eric Brown, and our teammates, Anna Shepherd, and James W. Hill; we are poets. This will show off our diversion of our poetry. Each week, a different poet will do this.

This is a fun poem. In a few weeks, it’ll be Thanksgiving, and I think it’s fitting poem. Enjoy…

Giving Thanks
By-Amanda D. Petty

Sailing in November with the Mayflower as her guide,
Praying pilgrims, giving thanks for their new friends.
Sitting down to their first Thanksgiving dinner.

Laughing November as the “kids” play football,
A dad runs crazy as his children try to get him.
Watching the “Macy Day Parade”, thinking back on my early years.

Stuffed up November as the bird “grubbing” up,
Families gather around the turkey, saying what they’re grateful for.
“Pie, anyone?” I asked. “NO!” everyone yelled.

Thankful November as we reflect on the Blessings,
A caring Heavenly Father, True Gospel, His timeless Words,
Wonderful families, good friends, we loved.

More Than Poetry: We take “Pretty Petty Poetry” very, very seriously. Some people think poetry is very “old fashioned”, boring, and not that interesting. We can understand. To us, poetry is the true heart of a person. Amanda describes it as: lyrics without any music.

Pretty Pets: We want your feedback on “Pretty Petty Poetry”. We want to know on how we can improve on this business. We’re very open on your comments.
