Pretty Pettys Poem of the Week

Hello Pretty Pets, welcome to the “Pretty Petty’s Poem of the Week” issue. I’m Amanda D. Petty and my business partner, James W. Hill, and our teammates, Joseph Oghenakhua, Anna Shepherd, Abdul Sami, Jesselyn Council, Nicholas Roberts, Rick Cruse, and Tim George; we are poets. This will show off our diversion of our poetry. Each week, a different poet will do this.

My Last Wish
By-Tim George

I say goodbye
I pray you do not weep
I am out of time
This is my last breath.
I set sail for another place
I break these chains and flee
I fly by stars and live dreams
What awaits me here
Dwells only in the mind.
A shriek rends the air
As I dine with the devil.
I have tasted betrayal
I have chewed on suffering
and as bitter as it may be
I have swallowed it whole
As the shadows of the tide
Gently brings me by
I say my last wish of
A simple goodbye.

More Than Poetry: We take “Pretty Petty Poetry” very, very seriously. Some people think poetry is very “old fashioned”, boring, and not that interesting. We can understand. To us, poetry is the true heart of a person. Amanda describes it as: lyrics without any music.

Pretty Pets: We want your feedback on “Pretty Petty Poetry”. We want to know on how we can improve on this business. We’re very open on your comments.
