Pretty Pettys Poem of the Week

Hello Pretty Pets, welcome to the “Pretty Petty’s Poem of the Week” issue. This will be a weekly issue. I’m Amanda D. Petty, and I am a poet. This will show off my diversion of my poetry. This is a part of “Pretty Petty Poetry”. If you want more information, go to: www.prettypettypoetry.blogspot.com.

Freedom
By- Amanda D. Petty

Escaping, running from Pharaoh.
Leading the way to the Red Sea.

Thinking to myself, “I’m following a nut case.”
Waving his hands, the sea obeyed.
Parting of the creations,
Watching the water, amazement set on my face.
Walking on dry ground, we do.
Going to the other side,
Praying, giving our thanks.

Crying from exhaust and joy.
Running, escaping from Pharaoh.

More Than Poetry: I take “Pretty Petty Poetry” very, very seriously. Some people think poetry is very “old fashioned”, boring, and not that interesting. I can understand. To me, poetry is the true heart of a person. I describe it as: lyrics without any music. Because of my speech, I can’t talk fast or normal; discovering poetry has really opened me up.

Pretty Pets: I want your feedback on “Pretty Petty Poetry”. I want to know on how I can improve on this business. I’m very open on your comments.
