My Thoughts: I’ve noticed something, everyone wants, WANTS, to be on my team. This, this really surprised me because I truly thought PPP was a really stupid idea. “Who want my poetry?” I thought. But, as I do PPP, I learn more than I could even imagine. I used to be shy about my handicapped. With PPP, I become open to it, and I’m actually teaching it to everyone. That’s only one example.

My Spiritual Thoughts:

The News:

Huge news: On November 25th, 2017, I made Kofi Fianko a Crony of Pretty Petty Poetry. Welcome Kofi to the partnership. He will help James & I run PPP.

New Member: We have 2 new members, N.S. Mpofu and Prinsloo TheePoet. N.S. will be doing the Spiritual Thoughts.Prinsloo TheePoet will replace Okeke’s job. Welcome N.S. and TheePoet to the team!

Poets’ Tell: It seems like this team is growing every month. LOL. Here we go…

N.S. Mpofu: I'm just a simple girl by nature, l like doing things that other people don't normally do, I'm one creative person. None much I'm just a simple girl by nature.

Prinsloo TheePoet: Prinsloo TheePoet here, I am a complete poet, singer, song and storywriter. Love the skies during the night, oh the shooting stars and the moon so bright. I love art and am a member of a PPP family. And remember: Just that you can't see something, doesn't mean it’s not there, stop looking if you can't see and never let the fear of striking out, keep you from playing the game.

For new comers: Since 2006, Amanda sends out a Christ-Like Christmas poem every December 15th.

2 Weeks Off: The whole team is taking a 2-week break: from December 20 to January 8. We will be back next year. Be safe and we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a good New Year.

Your Thoughts:

This is by me. I did this in 2008 or 2009. This is my favorite Christ-like Christmas that I ever did because it was my first time of reading to a crowd. Days before Thanksgiving, I got a request. Story short, it took me 3 weeks to do this poem right.

Still
By-Amanda D. Petty

On this Christmas day, the most sacred day of the year;
Let us remember what happened on that night, which changed the world.
A virgin, Mary, had a Son; the Son of the Living God.
Surrounded by animals and love.
Angels sang praises, a new star was born,
Dancing for the wise men and the shepherds,
Showing me, His way to live.

“Fear not, for I bring you good tidings of great joy.”
Rejoicing angels, worshipping wise men,
Obedient shepherds,
I would have joined them as they
Praised my Lord and Savior.

As I reflect on His birth today,
I am blessed that He would do this for me.
My innocent heart filled with Thy Spirit.
My worried soul now at peace.
My troubled mind at rest.

He is tutoring me to listen to His voice.
He is walking with me through the troubled times.
He is teaching me to be His tool, for you and me.
He is helping me to love others.
I will have trust in Him.

I know He is a part of me.
Because of Him, I will be able to come Home.
Because of The Savior, I will be healed.
With Heavenly Father, I can be more.

Because of what happened, the world stood,
Still.

Quotes of the Month: Christmas is my favorite holiday.

Poem of the Month:

This is by James. He lost his dad. RIP William Hill.

My Father, My Hero, My Angel
By-James W. Hill (to William Hill)

My Father was
A very loving man.

He loved his family,
with all his heart.

He is my hero,
He served his
Country proudly.

He raised me
around the military
Way of life.

I'm so glad
To be an
Army brat.

Now he is
At rest.

He got called home,
To his mansion in
The sky.

So now I'm
Proud to call
Him my Angel.

I know he's watching
Over me and saying,
“That's my boy.”

Lyrics of the Month: Poetry has a plethora of styles, and our ultimate favorite is lyrics.

Want help: If you want to help with “Pretty Petty Poetry”, you can! We are looking for some volunteers to help with the desktop wallpapers and getting us clients. We can’t do everything by ourselves anymore, too stressful.

For New Comers: This is AMANDA’S idea to do this business. Everything you see is her alone with the help from God. This is a part of “Pretty Petty Poetry”. She has been studying English with the help from a professor, Nancy Lowe, from Weber State University, Utah, USA since October of 2011.
