I’m Amanda D. Petty, the CEO and the Creator of “Pretty Petty Poetry”, and the Co-CEO is James W. Hill. On March 20th, 2016, Anna Shepherd joined the team. On December 30th, 2016, Abdul Sami joined the team. On January 11th, 2017, Jesselyn Council joined the team. On January 17th, 2017, Joseph Oghenakhua joined the team. On January 18th, 2017, Tim George joined the team. On January 27th, 2017, Nicholas Roberts joined the team. On February 27th, 2017, Rick Cruse joined the team.

Petty’s Thoughts:

Somehow, some weird way, I believe this IS what I’ve been made for. As I do this, I truly feel like I’m home. Yes, it’s stressful and beyond difficult to do. I would not change it. When I was a young girl, I actually put on these little and crazy things; someone would watch me. Weird, how life works. I did not plan this. I didn’t say, “When I grow up, I want to be an international poet with my own business and a team of poets.” No, I never said that. But, that’s what Heavenly Father called me to do. Truthfully, I don’t think I’ve been happier when I do PPP. Yes, it’s difficult to be the CEO over an international poetry business. If I truly knew what it takes to run this, I don’t think I’ll be happy if I refused this great opportunity. I truly love this job so much.

---

In March, there was a terror attack in London, and I don’t know how many are dead or injury. For those who lost someone or hurt, I’m very sad. I am beyond sorry. I truly hope and prayed that God bless, comfort, and gives you love. I truly hope PPP can take your sorrows for a minute and brings you Divine’s Peace.

Petty’s Spiritual Thoughts:

I love this song.

If you’re a Spiritual person of any religion, we would love to put your thoughts in the newsletter. Don’t be afraid, we won’t be scornful. Just e-mail us, and put in the “subject bar”: “My Spiritual thought for the Pretty Petty Poetry Newsletter”. We would like to have them before the 1st of the month or sooner. We won’t put your name. But, we will put your religion.

Petty’s News

Disney Dreams Poetry: Rick had an idea to make a Disney poem for fun. Well, he and I talked. Guess what? Starting on the 4th of April, James, Rick, and I will be doing Disney poems. Look for that.

Nicknames: Shadow, SunLight, and Disney, we have nicknames. We put our poems on these sites already. Enjoy.

No Nick or Joseph: We fired Nick because he hasn’t been showing up for the team’s meeting and for the teachings. Joseph is way too busy for this business.

Hill & Petty Fan Chat: No one showed up.

Petty’s Team News

(MD) Muscular Dystrophy: Rick sends me a message about MD. I want to help him to pass the word about the disorder. His great friend, Kassed, died at 12 from this. So, if you can Kassed. It’s a fund raiser for MD. If you could help out, the site is: https://www.gofundme.com/difago

James’ Update on his poetry: On March 29th, 2017, James surprised me with a gorgeous poem, “Feeling Not Needed”. This poem is the best that he ever done.

Feeling Not Needed
By James W. Hill

How do you get over feeling not needed?
How do you get rid of the pain and suffering?
I try to do things better but it seems like
My better is not good enough.
I feel like I'm being kicked the stomach
And then stomped on like a bug.
The depression is like a boulder sitting on my
Chest smothering me.
Hope one day this will all feel like a dream
And go away.

When I read this, I was very surprised because it has the PPP standards, very excellent selection of words, good tone. Great job, James.

He is redoing all of his poems, so he can be better. I didn’t tell him to redo them all; he suggested it.

VERY Excited News: Last month, I started to use my left hand. My left hand is very weak. I don’t use it that often. On March 20th, USA, Doug Shepherd, my pt, wondered if I could use my left hand more. So, he was looking for something for weights. I have a water bottle has a handle on the side. I pointed at it. Guess what happen next? Doug had me use it as my weights. I actually held my water bottle in my left hand for the first time. When that happen, I could not believe it at all. I’m still amazed at this huge step that I took. Did you know water is very heavy? For me, it felt like I was lifting a 500-ton weight.
To Doug: You believe in me when I didn’t. You helped me to make my dreams come true, and for that, I cannot repay you. All my life, I wanted to walk, used my left hand, and YOU believe in me so much that these things happen. You blessed my life. You are a remarkable PT. Now, I’m actually using my weak hand. You are a true miracle worker. Thank you.

Petty’s Poem’s Thoughts

Who am I
By-Tim George

That razor blade tickling my neck like a white feather.
Black veins pulsing under my skin itching to escape.
Sitting in that chair, with that moonlight as my only comfort,
I ask myself barely able to think under the
Deafening sound of my beating heart.
“Who am I?”
A man tortured of his happiness, overtaken
By misery and sadness?
Drunk on the lust of the innocent and free,
Poisoned by the jealousy of the right minded.

Who am I?

Fueled by the anger of  the one who raised me,
But behind the drapes of a sun-filled childhood
Lays the true ruins of a barren mind.
Devoid of all things that made me smile.
Now its all a wasteland, cracks in the floor
Like the ones in my heart that never seem to fix.
My dreams are a murder scene-confusion.
Chaos roam the streets as my own hopes and goals,
Are the scattered bodies that litter the alleyways
Of my soul. As the bullet loads in the chamber a
Single thought fleets through my mind.

“Who am I?”

Sitting in that chair as the empty silence
Has never felt more heavy. These words
Are all I have, these words that bleed through
The paper mixed with my tears. My vision is
Blurry my hands are tired as my fingers cock the
Trigger. Like an uninvited guest, the cold steel
Finds its way in my mouth. So bitter in taste
But my mind wavers in excitement at what is
To come that can not be stopped. My only regret is
Not spilling enough truth on paper from my own
Entangled  mind. Wondering and wandering my
Fingers scribble one last thing as the trigger clicks,
In stone cold silence as the rain outside is my only
Witness to it all and as the paper falls all that can be
Seen is--

“Who am I?”

Please, e-mail us with YOUR thoughts on this poem.

Petty’s Poem of the Month

The Easter Passover
By-James W. Hill

Jesus is the reason for Easter, to celebrate the passover.

Communion, sacrament is how we part of the Lord's Supper.

The bread being Jesus' broken body that was given for us.

The cup the new covenant of Jesus' blood that was shed for us on Calvary.

So thank you Jesus for your death so that we may have eternal life.

Petty’s Lyrics of the Month

This is a fun, goofy song. I like this one because it shows how goofy Rick really is. Enjoy.

Twitter, Phones And Facebook
By Rick Cruse

Verse 1:

I moved from Nevada to Oregon,
To start my life anew,
I admit at first it was hard to do,
‘Cause I moved away from all of you,

Chorus (But):

Thank God for Twitter, phones and Facebook,
‘Cause it helps me stay in touch, with my loved ones,
Hi, my Vegas family & friends, This is Rick,
I love you so much, I love you a bunch

Verse 2:

Now I’ve made a few new friends,
And meeting new people, well it never ends,
Especially meeting the love of my life,
I can’t wait for the day she becomes my wife

Chorus (But still)

Verse 3:

Yes it rains here a lot,
But at least it doesn’t get so hot,
There’s even a lot of fun things to do here,
Like swim, hike, sight see, and spotting a deer
So I really do love staying here

Chorus (So)

Yes, I love you so much, I love you a bunch

Want Help :

If you want to help with “Pretty Petty Poetry”, you can! We are looking for some volunteers to help with the desktop wallpapers and getting us clients. We can’t do everything by ourselves anymore, too stressful.

For New Pets :

This is AMANDA’S idea to do this business. Everything you see is her alone with the help from God. This is a part of “Pretty Petty Poetry”. She has been studying English with the help from a professor, Nancy Lowe, from Weber State University, Utah, USA since October of 2011.
