Hello Pretty Pets, welcome to the “Pretty Petty’s Poem of the Week” issue. I’m Amanda and my business partner, James, and our teammates, Anna, Abdul, Jasmine, Osinachi, Amber, Kofi, Kanu, Ibn, Roselle, Bamidele, Okeke, Jayant, Lana, and Tim; we are poets. This will show off our diversion of our poetry. Each week, a different poet will do this.

This is by James. As I was reading this, I saw a picture of His Footprint with mine.  I saw Him helping me. Great job, James.

Footprints In The Sand
By James W. Hill

As I was walking along
the beach, sad and depressed.

To my amazement, I saw one
other set of footprints next to mine.

I prayed and asked, who did those
other footprints belong to?

The Lord’s Response was MINE!
I asked why and He Responded,
yet again I knew you needed a friend.

So I thanked the Lord, and continued
walking down the beach.

Again I became depressed thinking
I wish my kids were next to me.

Again I saw two sets of footprints,
one was mine and I knew who the other
belonged to My Lord.

More Than Poetry: We take “Pretty Petty Poetry” very, very seriously. Some people think poetry is very “old fashioned”, boring, and not that interesting. We can understand. To us, poetry is the true heart of a person. Amanda describes it as: lyrics without any music.

Pretty Pets: We want your feedback on “Pretty Petty Poetry”. We want to know on how we can improve on this business. We’re very open on your comments.
