Welcome to Pretty Petty Poetry Weekly. Every week, a different poet will write a poem. Enjoy.
PRISON WALLS
So prohibiting,
no permission to leave,
The sentence needs completion,
crime does not pay.
The cell introductions,
Of varried criminals caged,
Lies of better absent outside life,
The walls that suspends,
Criminals from day to day errands.
Queues are prison cultures,
Toilet or food,
The main activities of prison,
You live to eat and sit the toilet,
Bathing is optional.
Now that we have new prisons,
The new walls of love prisons,
We wait too long,
On these relationships we venture,
To some, the prison lies are rainbow,
Some wait queues of loneliness,
For the absent lover.
They eat and drink spoiled,
They are bored and stimulated,
Their prison doors are locked,
Opening in the morning,
To the queues of food and toilet.
The marital food comes late,
The food donated to cheaters,
Some days are darker,
Some smiles are pretended.
As if the team won over the weekend,
The team supported by guards,
The wardens of prison walls,
There are sick smiles in jails.
The jails of relationship homes,
Women are grounded to swarms,
swarms of children,
We live in relationship jails.
The walls of prison.

More Than Poetry: We take “Pretty Petty Poetry” very, very seriously. Some people think poetry is very “old fashioned”, boring, and not that interesting. We can understand. To us, poetry is the true heart of a person. Amanda describes it as: lyrics without any music.
