My Thoughts: Being the CEO is more difficult because you really have to make really difficult decisions and think about the future of PPP. At times, I wished God didn't give me this job. But others, I’m grateful that He trusted me with this. As I do this, organization, I’m finding myself “looing behind the words” at everything. It’s truly odd on how I understand things. I did not ask for this, but, here I am, living my non-dream job. I didn’t dream about this, being a CEO of an international organization where I lead a team of poets into the hearts of strangers. Because of my drowning accident, I should not be alive or understand things on a deep level. But, I do.
My Spiritual Thoughts:
The News:
Bad News: I fired a few teammates because they won’t do their work on time: Mickey, Mike, Peace, and Quadri. Amber Rose quit.
Good news: We have a member to our nutty family, J.Bed. He’ll be doing the Site Weekly Poem. Welcome, J.Bed.
There are no longer these issues: Disney Dream, Pretty Lyrics, and Nature’s Animals.
Your Thoughts: We truly want your thoughts on this poem:
Days of endless struggle.
More hopeful pills today,
Trying to appear "normal"
In some sort of way.
It seems that the struggle
Is always here with me,
And I wouldn't be here now
If guilt would leave me be.
I know there's been many
Who've had it worse than I,
But that doesn't always mean
That I wouldn't say good-bye.
People say I have a lot going for me.
I'm sorry, but I just can't see.
I can't see because my worst enemy
Is not my life but inside of me.
Always on a roller coaster,
Not much consistency.
I'm nothing if I'm not up or down.
I'm nothing if just "me."
Very little energy,
Wanting to stay in bed,
Wishing to be enthusiastic
Instead of feeling like I'm made of lead.
Wanting to be excited,
Wanting to care for more,
But when nothing makes sense,
It's hard to focus on the poor.
Cluttered mind, cluttered thinking.
It's hard to keep in touch
With what is happening around me
And not to worry too much.
I feel that everybody is better than me
And that I can't do anything right.
This is how I've felt my whole dang life;
It didn't just start last night.
No confidence, no self-esteem.
Everybody else is right.
To speak my mind is to be a fool,
So I just try to "sit tight."
Any one of these problems
Would be a heavy vice,
But when you have them ALL
Living seems like a roll of the dice.
Quotes of the Month:
Poem of the Month:
Rock Your World
By-Amanda D. Petty
Music lovers, holler for me.
Singers, let me know you’re here.
Dancers, watch out for a new performer.
Even though I’m in a power-chair.
I can and will rock your world.
My name is, A-P.
I can do the moonwalk, robot, and even the worm.
But, I do it in my own style.
So, if you’re ready, lets rock.
DJ, give me a beat.
The music is playing.
I rock your world into a whole different feel.
Music is in my blood.
The rhythm is in my soul.
The beat is in my heart.
Let’s dance to our own beat.
You didn’t know it yet;
But I become your music.
A-P is here and lets rock.
Lyrics of the Month: Poetry has a plethora of styles, and our ultimate favorite is lyrics.
None :(
Want help: If you want to help with “Pretty Petty Poetry”, you can! We are looking for some volunteers to help with the desktop wallpapers and getting us clients. We can’t do everything by ourselves anymore, too stressful.
For New Comers: This is AMANDA’S idea to do this business. Everything you see is her alone with the help from God. This is a part of “Pretty Petty Poetry”. She has been studying English with the help from a professor, Nancy Lowe, from Weber State University, Utah, USA since October of 2011.
